Any weather geeks out there? This the radar from Weather Underground. What a classic, comma-shaped low pressure system. We’re getting some wind and rain here in Austin, but nothing too serious. Over the last 5 years, we’ve prayed for a hurricane or tropical storm to help with the drought. Now we finally get one, and the drought was over by Memorial Day. Thanks, Obama.

I can’t think of a much better place to study meterology than OK. The head weather guy on our local NBC affiliate is from OK. One night he talked for an HOUR about rain, completely wiping out the entire third period of a Blackhawks playoff game. Weather’s cool, and all, and it’s your job, but, seriously, PLAYOFFS!!

I think that weather is currently really important subject. It’s only two days to Midsummer festivities which is pretty much the most important time in Finland. It is usually spent outdoors so weather is really important. Usually the weather sucks during the midsummer partying. The Midsummer in Finland is some kind of combination from the pictures below.

Thanks, and I can assure you, the feeling is mutual. ;)

Look for TB next year, or Anaheim. I think TB was the better team for 5 games, but Chicago’s championship depth showed through. The hockey gods were smiling on them.

I’m in the NW corner of AR... every plot, every path, every forecast shows the remainder of TS Bill going our way. Luckily we’re all rocky bottom here, so the water comes up fast and leaves fast.
